Well, Here's One Way to Spend Your Allowance

When your pet snakes (yes, that's now plural) run out of food and there are no longer frogs and worms to be found on the quickly-freezing Wisconsin tundra...

You resort to spending your allowance money.

On MICE.

Yes. That's right. I now have both snakes and mice in my home. Thanks, Anna Marie.

I wonder when the allowance money will run out? Before the spring thaw and the return of the frogs?

Bets, anyone?

Nice, Anna Marie.
Dropping in the second mouse.
This is really lovely, don't you think?
Can't think about it too much.
Wouldn't want to squelch the scientific curiosity of our budding zoologist.
Then again, maybe I do.

Oh my goodness! How many of the snakes did you end up keeping? lol I'll keep praying for you. You are such a good mom. =)

Squelch away, I say! But you're a much braver mom than I. We just brought home KLD's 3rd-grade class pet, Hermie the Hermit Crab, for a long weekend. That's about as close as we get to a pet.

We used to have a hermit crab. They're kind of creepy, aren't they? I have considered getting another one for the boys. I don't think they remember our hermit crab days.

Two snakes... I did make her get rid of the rest of the babies... But, truth be told, I did not find out until two days ago that there are two snakes in there. I thought she'd gotten rid of ALL the babies.
