Georgia Days with Marguerite

As I type this, the holidays have passed, and our Sweet Marguerite is six weeks old! She is our supreme joy, and we are so lucky to have her as our daughter and sister. Life couldn't be sweeter.

As a quick re-cap (quick because a more detailed chronology of the adoption adventure can be found at our adoption blog), here are some highlights of our time in Georgia with beautiful Marguerite and the rest of the boisterous and enthusiastic Leone clan.

We spent a couple days touring Savannah and celebrating William's birthday with good food (including ice cream)!

Following our days in Savannah, we headed to Tybee Island, where we visited Fort Pulaski, explored the Atlantic Ocean (on a very cold December day), and ate oodles of delicious seafood at the Crab Shack. Marguerite wins the prize for the youngest Leone to wine and dine (okay, to take her fill of bottles while we wine and dine) and to visit the ocean.

And before we knew it (and far earlier than we had anticipated), we had received the green light to head home to Wisconsin, all adoption paperwork having cleared both Georgia and Wisconsin. How happy were were to be homeward-bound with our newest family member!
